Handcycles, commonly known as handbikes, are cycles powered by arms rather than legs, which makes them a perfect choice for people with spinal cord injuries or lower limb amputations. Most commonly handbikes are tricycles with two rear wheels used for stability and one wheel in the front that has dual function: steering and drive wheel. One exception to this rule is an off-road handcycle, which has two front wheels and one in the rear. The handcycles we offer meet the above-mentioned characteristics but they are hardly off-the shelf product. Sport-On Handcycles are designed, created, and tested by Jaroslaw Rola, a Polish paraolympian, who pours his heart and soul into them. The three cycles we offer are: racing handcycle Skorpion, cross-country handcycle XCR, and off-road handcycle Explorer III. They all come in a standard version, but also can be customized to accommodate different levels of functionality. The design is innovative and flexible, which allows for tailoring the handbike to individual needs.
The FAT Explorer looks very much like Explorer III, but there is more to this bike than meets the eye. This fat-tire handcycle was designed for riding on soft terrain such as sand or snow. A few modifications had to be made to accommodate the bigger tires. This handcycle is truly one of a kind.View Product
